Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and persuasive Telesales Executive to join our dynamic sales team. The candidate will be responsible for reaching out to potential or existing customers via phone to inform them about products or services, understand their requirements, and convert conversations into sales or qualified leads.
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and listening skills, a polite yet convincing tone, and a target-driven mindset. Prior experience in telesales, telemarketing, or customer support is an advantage, but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Outbound Calling & Lead Conversion

Make a high volume of outbound calls daily to potential or existing customers from a provided database or leads

Explain the features, benefits, and pricing of the products or services being offered

Understand customer needs and offer appropriate solutions, offers, or upgrades

Convince and convert leads into sales or appointments for field sales teams
2. Customer Interaction & Relationship Building

Engage with customers in a professional and courteous manner

Address queries, handle objections, and follow-up with interested prospects until closure
-
Maintain a positive customer experience throughout the sales process

Encourage repeat business and referrals through relationship building
3. Database & CRM Management
-
Update CRM systems or Excel sheets with call logs, customer responses, and sales status

Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of customer interaction history

Classify leads into hot, warm, and cold categories and prioritize accordingly
-
Follow up on previous leads as per schedule and escalate serious leads to the next level
4. Sales Target Achievement

Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets assigned by the team leader or manager

Actively participate in sales promotions, contests, or special campaigns to boost performance
-
Take ownership of sales numbers and work to minimize rejection rates through training and practice
5. Feedback & Communication

Share customer feedback, product issues, and suggestions with team leaders or product managers

Inform the marketing or product team about trends, objections, or competitor activity

Participate in team meetings, daily briefings, and performance reviews
Required Skills:
Communication Skills:

Fluent in English and regional/local language (e.g., Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali)

Ability to explain complex topics in a clear and simple manner

Good listening and problem-solving abilities
Sales & Technical Skills:

Strong persuasion and negotiation skills

Ability to handle rejections and objections confidently

Basic knowledge of CRM tools, MS Excel, Google Sheets, or call-dialing software

Typing and record-keeping ability for logging customer data during calls
