Job Overview
As a Telesales Executive, you will be responsible for reaching out to potential customers via telephone to sell products or services, generate leads, and maintain strong customer relationships. Your main goal will be to drive sales and contribute to the company’s revenue growth by converting cold and warm leads into loyal customers.
You will need to understand the products or services you’re promoting, confidently pitch them to potential clients, and overcome objections. The role also includes following up on previous interactions, updating customer records, and meeting daily and monthly targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales and Lead Generation

Make outbound calls to prospective customers using a prepared script or sales pitch.

Contact leads generated through marketing campaigns, referrals, and online inquiries.

Clearly explain and promote the company’s products or services, focusing on features and benefits tailored to customer needs.

Identify and qualify sales opportunities, converting inquiries into confirmed leads or sales.

Follow up on previous communications to nurture leads and close sales.
2. Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain a positive rapport with customers by providing excellent service over the phone.

Understand customer requirements and offer solutions that match their expectations.

Respond to customer queries, resolve concerns, and escalate issues when necessary to the appropriate department.

Update CRM systems or databases with accurate and timely customer information and call outcomes.
3. Target Achievement

Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and KPIs.

Actively participate in team meetings and performance reviews to discuss goals, strategies, and progress.

Take initiative to improve personal sales performance through feedback and self-learning.
4. Product Knowledge and Training

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s products, services, promotions, and pricing strategies.

Attend training sessions and product briefings to ensure strong command over product details.

Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
5. Reporting and Documentation

Record detailed notes of customer interactions, including responses, objections, and follow-up requirements.

Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on call activities, lead conversion, and sales performance.

Collaborate with sales team members to optimize processes and improve customer outreach.
Required Qualifications and Skills

Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. A degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications is preferred.

Experience: Experience in telesales, telemarketing, or a customer service role. Freshers with strong communication skills may also be considered.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication, listening, and persuasive selling skills in English (and/or local languages depending on target market).

Sales Ability: Confident in making cold calls, handling objections, and closing deals over the phone.

Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using CRM systems, spreadsheets, and basic office software (e.g., MS Word, Excel, email).

Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
