Role: Teradata DBA
Experience: 2-4 Years
Location: Mumbai
Job description:
- Manage and support 24x7 production databases as well as development databases to ensure maximum availability of database resource for various applications
- He should perform the DBA related tasks in key areas of Database Administration
- Backup Archive Restore Management Performance Management Reporting Perform capacity planning performance monitoring and tuning and problem determination and resolution
- Experience required 2-3 years
- Key Responsibilities Manage Production Development databases in the following areas Viewpoint Monitoring Space Management Security Management User Management Backup and Recovery Skills
- Experience required Responsible for development and implementation of Teradata Server Database systems
- Strong understanding of best practices in maintaining medium to large scale Teradata database systems
- Automate repeatable administrative procedures like Installation database health checks database fragmentation and patching to improve the operational efficiency
- Clear understanding of Strategy and IT Governance procedures and policies Extensive experience in implementing Master Data Management Data Governance methodologies
- Experience in design and maintaining Operational Data Store and Data Ware house Configure tune and maintain databases
- Perform backup and recovery strategies to meet or exceed defined business SLA s for the Teradata Databases
- Troubleshoot alerts and performance issues Proficient in setup using Teradata tools monitoring and diagnostics tool and also to identify resolve the Performance issues
- Experience in Database Design for OLAP applications Define and develop strategy and methodology in identifying ETL processing tools
- Added Knowledge of Multiple RDBMS and Windows Linux Solaris Operating Systems and shell scripting
