TERI University invite application for the post of Software Tester
Division: Information Technology and Services
Job Profile:
- Proficient in handling individually end-to-end quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare a comprehensive test plan with detailed knowledge about Software Testing Life cycle (STLC) including but not limited to: test items and conditions, scope and out of scope items, testing methodology adopted, including tools used,
- Complete working knowledge of bug tracking protocols and testing levels, pass/fail criteria, suspension and resumption criteria, severity of errors/ bugs and sign-offs
- Produce detailed test reports, defect reports and test metrics
- Well-versed in different aspects of Functional and Non-functional testing
- Well-versed in Website and Mobile App Testing (Android and iOS)
- Proficient in Website and Mobile App Testing (Android and iOS)
- Knowledge of SDLC and Agile principles
- Knows about automation testing and basics
- Communicate with IT team members about detailed bug status, with possible root cause analysis, reproduction steps and dependencies
- Understanding requirements and carrying out Functional/ Regression/ Retesting, UI & Usability Testing including Responsiveness testing, and validating tests as pass/fail in mobile, tablets and different standard screen resolutions
- Cross Browser testing across different standard browsers and their versions
- Should have good analytical skills along with good verbal and written communication skills including documentation.
Experience: 3 - 4 years
Qualification: MCA/ BTech/ BE
Skills:
- Exposure to Performance Testing, including Load Testing using Jmeter
- Knowledge of SDLC and Agile principles
- Knows about automation testing and basics
