Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and target-driven Territory Sales Incharge (TSI) to manage and grow sales in a designated geographic territory. The TSI will be responsible for executing sales strategies, maintaining relationships with distributors and retailers, monitoring market trends, and achieving volume and value targets for products or services offered by the company.
This is a field-intensive role that requires regular visits to market, effective communication with channel partners, and prompt issue resolution. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, have good negotiation skills, and a strong understanding of the local market.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Territory Sales Management:

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in terms of volume, value, and market share.

Execute company’s sales and marketing strategy in the assigned territory.

Develop and maintain productive relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and key accounts.
2. Market Coverage and Expansion:

Regularly visit retail outlets, stockists, and dealers to ensure market coverage and availability of products.

Identify new business opportunities, retail counters, and potential areas for expansion.

Ensure numeric and weighted distribution targets are met.
3. Distributor Handling:

Appoint, manage, and support distributors and ensure adequate stock availability.

Monitor distributor performance, billing, stock rotation, and claims.

Conduct periodic distributor reviews and ensure compliance with company norms.
4. Sales Promotion and Execution:

Ensure the implementation of trade marketing and promotional activities at the retail level.

Execute schemes, displays, point-of-sale materials (POSM), and merchandising standards.

Work with the marketing team to organize on-ground campaigns and events in the territory.
5. Order Booking and Collections:

Take daily/weekly orders from retailers or through the distributor sales force.

Coordinate with the supply chain/logistics team for timely delivery of goods.

Ensure timely payment collection and manage outstanding payments.
6. Competitor and Market Analysis:

Track competitor activity, pricing, schemes, and new product launches.

Gather feedback from market and customers to share with the internal team.

Report market intelligence and suggest counter-strategies where required.
7. Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate sales data, journey plans, call reports, and daily activity reports.

Submit sales performance reports, secondary sales data, and stock statements regularly.

Utilize CRM systems or mobile reporting tools as prescribed by the company.
8. Customer Service and Relationship Management:

Resolve retailer and distributor issues promptly and effectively.

Build trust and long-term partnerships with trade partners.

Educate and train retailers on product features and promotions.
