Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a high-caliber Test Automation Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-grade test automation solutions supporting ALM SaaS platforms. This high-impact role requires extensive hands-on expertise in Tosca, OpenText ALM, Selenium, and Playwright, complemented by deep capabilities in tool administration, distributed infrastructure setup, and Azure cloud environments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Automation Strategy & Architecture Define and implement a comprehensive enterprise test automation strategy across multiple integrated platforms. Establish robust best practices, coding frameworks, and compliance standards for UI, API, and full end-to-end testing. Drive the active adoption of modern automation tools and architect highly scalable testing frameworks. 2. Tool Administration & Platform Management Install, configure, and seamlessly administer Tosca, OpenText ALM, Selenium, and Playwright ecosystems. Manage end-to-end tool integrations across ALM matrices, active CI/CD pipelines, and unified defect management tracking systems. Ensure cross-environment stability, performance, and infrastructure scalability.3. Automation Development Develop and maintain highly robust, reusable automation scripts utilizing: Selenium / Playwright for comprehensive UI automation solutions. Tosca for model-based automation workflows. Design underlying frameworks supporting matrix cross-browser, deep API, and rigorous regression test suites. Implement tailored test automation systems for complex enterprise applications. 4. Cloud & Infrastructure (Azure) Design and manage complex automation execution environments natively hosted inside the Azure cloud ecosystem. Ensure a deep conceptual understanding and practical implementation of: Networking: Virtual Networks (VNets), strict firewall rules, and cloud connectivity protocols. Resilience: Automated backup and reliable recovery strategies. Storage Solutions: File storage setups, blob storage architecture, and database backups. Optimize multi-thread automation execution by leveraging cloud-based scaling dynamics (VMs, containerization, etc.). 5. CI/CD & DevOps Integration Integrate running automation matrices deeply into existing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps). Enable continuous testing practices and automated reporting checkpoints as a native part of the software release lifecycle. Ensure automated test executions and results are strictly traceable and mapped cleanly within OpenText ALM.6. Governance & Quality Assurance Define, document, and enforce global automation governance, compliance standards, and reporting conventions. Ensure absolute auditability and direct traceability of all test artifacts within ALM toolsuites. Provide actionable metrics and high-level analytical insights regarding automation test coverage and framework effectiveness.
