Position: Textile chemist in textile testing

Textile chemist in textile testing applies chemical knowledge to analyze and evaluate the properties of fabrics and textiles. They may be involved in quality control, research and development, or other aspects of textile production where chemical analysis is crucial.

1. Chemical Testing and Analysis:

· Fiber Identification and Blend Composition:

Determining the type and proportions of fibers in a textile (e.g., cotton, polyester, wool).

· Chemical Resistance:

Assessing a textile's resistance to various chemicals, acids, bases, and solvents.

· Dye and Pigment Analysis:

Analyzing the types and concentration of dyes and pigments used in textile coloration, ensuring they meet safety standards.

· Chemical Finish Analysis:

Evaluating the effectiveness and composition of chemical finishes used on textiles (e.g., water repellents, wrinkle resistance).

· Performance Related Tests:

Analyzing the impact of chemicals on textile performance, such as strength, durability, and abrasion resistance.

· Wastewater and Effluent Testing:

Analyzing the wastewater produced during textile manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

2. Quality Assurance:

· Raw Material Testing:
