Job Description
Job Title: Toll Collector / Toll Operator
Department: Toll Operations
Location: Bikaner(Rajasthan) and MP Balaghat
Job Summary:
The Toll Collector is responsible for collecting toll fees from vehicles passing through the toll plaza, ensuring accurate vehicle classification, handling cash and electronic payments (FASTag), and maintaining smooth traffic flow at the toll booth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect toll fees from vehicles as per the approved toll rate chart.
- Identify and classify vehicles correctly according to toll categories.
- Process FASTag transactions and cash payments accurately.
- Issue toll receipts to customers where applicable.
- Ensure proper operation of toll booth equipment and toll software.
- Maintain accurate records of toll transactions and cash collection.
- Deposit collected cash and submitted the shift documents at the time of shift end
- Ensure smooth traffic movement and avoid congestion at the toll lane.
- Provide courteous service to road users and resolve basic queries.
- Follow company policies and operational procedures.
- Report any technical issues, transaction errors, or suspicious activities to the Toll Supervisor.
Qualification:
- Minimum 12th Pass / Graduate preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
Experience:
- 0–3 years of experience in toll operations, cash handling, or customer service.
- Fresher’s can also apply.
Skills Required:
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Accuracy in cash handling and transactions.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
- Honest, responsible.
