Job Description

Designation : TRAINEE ADVOCATE/JUNIOR ADVOCATE.
Experience : 0-3 YEARS EXPERIENCE.
Qualification : LLB & LLM DEGREE.
Requirement : FULL TIME (LITIGATION).
Salary : AS PER INDUSTRY STANDARDS

Key Responsibilities:

1. Legal Research & Case Analysis

  • Trainee Advocate: Conduct legal research on laws, case laws, judicial precedents, and other legal documents. Assist in compiling and summarizing information to support senior advocates.

  • Junior Advocate: Conduct independent legal research and present findings in a clear, concise manner. Analyze case materials and provide insights on case strategy.

2. Drafting Legal Documents

  • Trainee Advocate: Assist in drafting legal documents such as petitions, applications, affidavits, complaints, notices, and other relevant documents. Work under the supervision of senior advocates to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.

  • Junior Advocate: Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, contracts, and other litigation-related paperwork. Ensure that all documents meet legal and procedural standards.

3. Court Representation & Assistance

  • Trainee Advocate: Attend court hearings, observe proceedings, and assist senior advocates by preparing case files, preparing exhibits, and filing documents. Take notes during hearings and provide reports afterward.

  • Junior Advocate: Represent clients in lower courts and tribunals under supervision. Attend hearings, argue motions, and present cases. Handle administrative tasks related to case management.

4. Client Interaction & Management

  • Trainee Advocate: Attend client meetings, take notes, and assist in the preparation of case strategies. Keep clients informed about case progress and provide timely updates.

  • Junior Advocate: Independently manage client relations. Communicate with clients regarding case updates, legal strategies, and any required documentation. Advise clients on legal options and strategies.

5. Case Strategy & Legal Advice

  • Trainee Advocate: Collaborate with senior advocates in strategizing for cases. Assist in analyzing case law and proposing potential legal strategies.

  • Junior Advocate: Provide legal advice to clients, outline the strengths and weaknesses of their case, and recommend strategies for litigation or settlement. Develop strategies for case management and legal resolution.

6. Negotiation & Settlement

  • Trainee Advocate: Assist in negotiations and settlement discussions by providing legal research and suggestions to senior advocates. Support the preparation of settlement agreements.

  • Junior Advocate: Actively participate in settlement discussions, negotiate on behalf of clients, and draft settlement agreements or memoranda of understanding (MoUs).

7. Administrative and Organizational Support

  • Trainee Advocate: Assist in maintaining case files, ensuring that all documentation is properly organized and filed. Support the legal team in scheduling client meetings and court appearances.

  • Junior Advocate: Maintain detailed records of cases, client communication, and legal documentation. Ensure all court filings and legal deadlines are met.

8. Professional Development & Learning

  • Trainee Advocate: Participate in training sessions, workshops, and seminars related to legal skills, court procedures, and new laws. Learn by observing experienced advocates and performing hands-on legal work.

  • Junior Advocate: Continue to develop legal skills through client interaction, court experience, and learning from senior counsel. Stay updated on the latest legal trends, rulings, and reforms.
