Job Description
Introduction
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Trainee Engineer - Female with a Diploma in Engineering to join our Quality Control (QC) team. As a Trainee Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry specifications.
This role involves inspection, testing, analysis, documentation, and continuous process improvement. You will collaborate with production, design, and R&D teams to maintain product quality and support overall operational efficiency. It’s an excellent opportunity for freshers or entry-level candidates who are passionate about building a career in quality assurance and production processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Inspection & Testing

Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections to ensure compliance with company standards.

Conduct visual inspections and use measuring instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM machines.

Carry out functional and dimensional testing of components and finished products.

Identify defective materials and ensure timely corrective action.
2. Quality Control Documentation
-
Maintain accurate inspection reports, testing data, and quality records.

Prepare quality checklists and maintain logs for daily, weekly, and monthly QC reports.

Support the preparation of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for quality processes.

Ensure proper labeling and traceability of inspected materials and products.
3. Implementation of Quality Standards
-
Assist in developing and maintaining ISO, TS, and other quality management standards.

Follow company-defined quality control procedures to ensure consistency in products.

Ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines during inspection and testing.
4. Defect Identification & Root Cause Analysis
-
Identify non-conformities and quality defects during inspections.
-
Assist senior engineers in conducting root cause analysis (RCA).
-
Provide inputs to improve process reliability and product performance.
-
Suggest preventive and corrective actions to avoid recurring quality issues.
5. Process Improvement Support
-
Collaborate with production teams to minimize rework and wastage.

Participate in process audits and internal quality checks.

Contribute to continuous improvement projects by providing real-time insights from inspections.

Work on implementing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles wherever applicable.
6. Coordination with Cross-Functional Teams

Liaise with design, R&D, procurement, and production teams to ensure smooth workflows.

Provide regular feedback to senior management regarding quality issues.

Work closely with suppliers to evaluate raw material quality and ensure adherence to standards.
Required Skills & Competencies
1. Technical Skills

Strong understanding of quality control principles and inspection techniques.

Familiarity with measuring tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and hardness testers.

Basic knowledge of ISO, QMS, and other industry-specific quality standards.

Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and data entry for QC documentation.
