Job Description
Job Profile:
The Trainee Facilitator is an integral part of the Mumbai Public School Program where he/she has career map chalked out to take up higher responsibilities. He/she will receive regular guidance & development support from a Senior Facilitator from the MPS Program and will go through a detailed training road map in order to learn various aspects of school management and facilitation over a 9 to 12 month period while managing the school assigned to him/her.
Key Job Responsibilities:
§ Drive enrolment of new students through various initiatives in collaboration with the teachers and SMC members
§ Monitor attendance [student/ teacher/TA] and drop-out rates [student] through regular MIS updation. Identify and implement methods to improve these metrics
§ Ensure regular parent –teacher meetings and one on one interactions with students/ parents for specific cases to build commitment
§ Support teachers and HM in specific school events and ensure involvement of community in order to bridge the gap between community and schools and increase school visibility
§ Train teachers on curriculum/ content changes and ensure roll out in schools in a timely manner
§ Ensure all school level program documentation is done in a timely manner with adequate level of detailing and accuracy
§ Follow school related processes set up at a program level and ensure understanding and documentation in line with process requirements
§ Monitor process outcomes, identify areas of concern or improvement and highlight the same for suitable action to Cluster Managers/ Program Coordinator
§ Work closely with the MIS team to document school related metrics and analyze trends accordingly for relevant action at the school
§ Build awareness amongst new teachers/ TAs and existing teachers/ TAs about importance and relevance of assessments
§ Carry out evaluations as per program requirements
§ Carry out community awareness drives to inform community about the benefits of English medium education
§ Provide constructive solutions to stakeholder issues/ concerns in conjunction with the school HM/ teachers and TAs
Required Qualifications:
§ Master in Social Work, B.Ed/ M Ed, Masters in Social Development, Teachers Training Diploma
Attributes (experience / exposure details):
§ Freshers with 0- 2 years of experience and an inclination to work in the Education Sector may also apply
§ Teachers with experience who want to make a career in development sector can also apply
§ Candidate has to be fluent in English- Written & Verbal

Under this, Heads of Schools & School Teachers are mentored to teach effectively in English, develop learning/ teaching aids, use learning management tools such as assessments and track learning levels of each child to improve learning outcomes. In this one of its kind partnership, Naandi Foundation manages 28 English Medium Schools of MCGM with a vision to improve learning outcomes through a focused and strategic intervention.
Year 2016. The MPS Program is ensuring that more than 15,000 children - most of whom are first generation learners - are using English as the medium to study different subjects in schools.
