Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Training and Departmental Rotation:
-
Participate in an intensive induction program covering company values, product range, safety standards, and operational procedures.
-
Rotate across departments such as Production, Sales, Dispatch, Warehousing, Quality Control, Customer Service, and Marketing.
-
Understand the full lifecycle of plywood manufacturing – from raw material procurement, processing, quality testing, and finishing to distribution.
2. Sales and Marketing (if applicable):
-
Assist in lead generation, customer acquisition, and dealer/distributor engagement.
-
Visit retailers, contractors, interior designers, and construction companies to promote products.

Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable plywood or board products (e.g., marine ply, MDF, decorative veneers, etc.).

Help prepare quotations, follow up with clients, and close basic-level deals under the guidance of a senior executive.

Support brand promotion activities, trade shows, or product awareness events.
3. Production / Factory Operations (if applicable):
-
Observe and assist in the day-to-day functioning of manufacturing processes.

Monitor machinery operations like pressing, drying, laminating, or cutting, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Assist in quality inspections, testing samples for strength, moisture content, termite resistance, and compliance with ISI standards.

Support the team in maintaining documentation, daily production reports, and raw material logs.
4. Supply Chain and Logistics (if applicable):
-
Learn how products are stored, packed, and dispatched through warehouses and distribution hubs.

Support inventory checks and order tracking.
-
Coordinate with transporters and warehouse supervisors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
-
Prepare reports on trainee learnings, site observations, or customer feedback.
-
Maintain logs of activities, learning modules completed, and departmental evaluations.
-
Submit regular progress updates to mentors and HR.
6. Cross-Functional Learning:
-
Attend weekly review meetings and presentations by senior staff to understand business metrics.
-
Participate in team brainstorming sessions, new product launches, and promotional campaigns.
