Trainee - Product Specialist

The Trainee – Product Specialist will be
part of the products focussed, and customer-facing, teams; and would be
responsible for supporting the market research, mapping requirements to product roadmaps, and distinguishing between
productized features and custom requisites for specific customer/industry.
Engage with customers, and the technology/operations teams, to refine/articulate
the requirements, and support documentation, for making it easier for the
development teams to develop, and for customers to feel assured of the
alignments.
Also, support preparing responses for requests for proposals, and
building content by extending market/product perspectives to internal teams.
The main objective will be to ensure customer
delight with world-class products and services.
Role and Responsibilities:-
- The Product Specialist will be
responsible to support managing the product from start to finish, improving, marketing it to the right audience, and engaging through all the
aspects like product strategy, development, improvement, and sales.
- Key
responsibilities, but not limited to, will be as follows:
- Work with the management team, assisting
them in developing business plans, and product strategies, to achieve company
revenue goals, develop a deep understanding of our suite of
products/solutions/services; and support the evolution of the company's vision,
strategy, and product roadmap, securing leadership buy-in and support;
- Analyze competitive marketplace and
industry trends to accordingly provide inputs for business strategies for
revenue generation, pricing strategies, etc.
- Engage with customers/marketplace, to
identify newer business opportunities, and to suggest new products/features
development, and product revisions, enhancements, and updates; and support
creating user flows, wireframes, and prototypes
- Provide support for building marketing
collaterals, and advertising materials, and for conducting marketing campaigns,
tradeshows, and other promotional activities
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge,
business flow, sales process, and market dynamics.; and maintain/monitor so
documentations for all product-related activities are up to date
- Drive product functional, use case, and documentation efforts; maintain indexed knowledge repositories for easy access
to future references and ease of retrieval
- Support the processes for the product
backlog, defining, grooming, and
prioritizing the user stories in consonance with product priorities while
maintaining technical integrity
- Conduct regular Product Management
meetings for feature planning
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to
support addressing customer escalated issues and concerns in a timely manner to
ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Conduct product training, internally and
externally, especially with the market point of view, and functional user expertise
assist in new product introduction and launch activities
- Leverage problem-solving skills and
periodically assesses improvement opportunities in the product workflows,
and present systemization, process/product
innovations, continual improvements, and opportunities to decision-makers; and
may coordinate assigned organizational transformation, product build-ups, and/or
continual improvements initiatives
- Manage the customer focussed systems, and
reports, with the ability for configuring them for the purpose of streamlining the
workflows/process monitoring, and customize/automate the reports and
dashboards, for ease of monitoring and alerting for compliance, etc.
General Requirements:-
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or
equivalent in a similar related field, from an institute of repute; & with
typically 3 to 6 months of the relevant internship experience. A combination of
education and experience may be considered in lieu.
- Understanding of technical product management,
Agile, ITIL, and/or Lean-IT, is preferred
- Demonstrable passion for the products you
supports and to keep expanding product knowledge. with a keen eye for spotting
market trends, a willingness to inspire clients, and team members
- Good understanding of people's motivators,
personality types, and behavioral aspects
- Excellent verbal, written, and
presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively across
the organization with various teams, and management; along with high attention
to detail
- Demonstrate customer-centricity with a willingness to support both internal and external customers; and ability to
maintain a high level of discretion, diplomacy, and confidentiality; ability
to identify roadblocks and either clear them or escalate to upper management
- Tech-Savvy and
proficient in Microsoft Office and has the ability to maintain the highest
level of discretion, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
- Eagerness to
learn, develop and grow with the business; is contributions oriented; and
flexible and willing to work off-hours when required to meet deadlines
- Team player willing to pivot quickly with
a nimbleness; and has strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills,
with the ability to interface with technical and non-technical members of the
