Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainer - Intern to join our team and support the learning and development functions of the organization. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity for aspiring trainers or educators to gain real-world experience in delivering training sessions, preparing educational content, engaging with trainees, and supporting training program logistics. The intern will assist in both virtual and in-person training environments and contribute to improving the skills and knowledge of employees, students, or trainees depending on the organization’s focus.

This is an ideal opportunity for recent graduates, students pursuing degrees in education, human resources, communication, or related fields, or anyone interested in entering the field of corporate or academic training.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in Training Delivery:

  • Support the training team in delivering workshops, seminars, onboarding sessions, and skill-based training.

  • Co-facilitate training programs under the guidance of senior trainers or training managers.

  • Provide assistance in organizing online sessions using video conferencing tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, or MS Teams.

  • Help ensure participants are engaged, active, and clear about the learning objectives.

2. Content Development and Preparation:

  • Assist in designing training materials such as PowerPoint presentations, handouts, manuals, quizzes, and worksheets.

  • Customize content as per the training audience—students, interns, new employees, or existing staff.

  • Conduct research to support the development of current and relevant learning materials.

3. Training Administration and Coordination:

  • Manage registration of trainees, maintain attendance records, and collect feedback after each session.

  • Set up training rooms or virtual environments, ensuring all tools and materials are ready before the session.

  • Coordinate communication with participants through emails, reminders, and post-training follow-ups.

4. Evaluation and Feedback Collection:

  • Distribute training evaluation forms to collect feedback and assess the effectiveness of sessions.

  • Assist in compiling data and analyzing participant responses to identify areas of improvement.

  • Create simple reports or summaries of session performance for internal documentation.

5. Learner Support:

  • Act as a point of contact for trainees during sessions, helping them with login issues, access to materials, or resolving general queries.

  • Follow up with participants on assignments, assessments, and certifications if applicable.

  • Encourage participation and help foster an inclusive and positive learning environment.

6. Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the training and HR teams to align training goals with organizational needs.

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to improve engagement strategies, delivery styles, or new training formats.

  • Support ongoing learning and development projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Education, HR, Psychology, Communication, Business, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in teaching, training, public speaking, or instructional design.

  • Basic understanding of adult learning principles and training methodologies is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and familiarity with online learning platforms.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to take initiative.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Creativity in designing engaging training content.

  • Comfort with virtual learning tools and digital training environments.

  • Patience, empathy, and approachability when working with diverse groups.

  • Ability to adapt content delivery to suit different learner levels and styles.
