Job Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Training and Placement Officer (TPO) to oversee all activities related to student career development, industry interaction, internships, and final job placements. The TPO will serve as a vital link between academia and industry, helping students become job-ready while building strong corporate relationships to enhance placement opportunities.
This role requires excellent coordination, industry networking, and student engagement skills. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and committed to driving career success for students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Placement Coordination:

Identify potential recruiters and establish long-term partnerships with companies across sectors.

Coordinate and manage campus placement drives, including scheduling, logistics, interviews, and follow-ups.

Ensure maximum placement of eligible students and maintain a placement success ratio in line with institutional goals.

Maintain a database of recruiters and regularly update placement statistics.
2. Industry Engagement:

Develop and nurture relationships with HR managers, recruiters, and corporate leaders.

Organize campus visits, guest lectures, industry panels, and webinars by industry professionals.

Arrange corporate interactions, pre-placement talks (PPTs), and networking events for students.
3. Internship and On-the-Job Training:

Facilitate summer/winter internships and industry projects for students in collaboration with departments.

Ensure students gain relevant exposure aligned with their academic background and career aspirations.

Monitor and evaluate internship feedback from companies and students.
4. Career Counseling and Soft Skills Development:

Guide students on career options, job search strategies, and industry expectations.

Conduct career awareness sessions, mock interviews, aptitude tests, and group discussions.

Coordinate with external trainers or design in-house training programs to enhance employability skills (e.g., communication, resume writing, time management, professional etiquette).
5. Training Program Development:

Collaborate with faculty and industry experts to design and implement training modules tailored to market needs.

Ensure training is aligned with skill requirements of targeted industries (technical skills, software tools, certifications, etc.).

Track student participation and performance in training programs.
6. Alumni and Employer Feedback:

Engage with alumni to explore job opportunities and mentorship programs.

Collect and analyze feedback from recruiters and alumni to continuously improve the placement and training process.

Use insights to adapt curriculum inputs and recommend skill-based interventions to academic heads.
7. Reporting and Compliance:

Maintain and update detailed reports on placement outcomes, training activities, student participation, and recruiter feedback.

Present placement data to management, accreditation bodies (like NAAC, NBA), and external auditors as needed.

Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards in placement-related operations.
Skills:
