Job Title: Travel Sales and Operations Specialist
Job Overview: The Travel Sales and Operations Specialist is responsible for driving revenue through effective travel sales initiatives while ensuring smooth day-to-day travel operations. This role combines a passion for travel with strong sales acumen and operational expertise to deliver exceptional service to corporate and leisure clients. The successful candidate will manage client relationships, coordinate travel arrangements, and work closely with vendors to optimize service delivery and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the travel market.
• Develop customized travel proposals and packages to meet client needs.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets through proactive lead generation and client outreach.
• Attend industry events and networking functions to promote company services.
Operational Management:
• Oversee daily travel booking operations and ensure seamless execution of travel itineraries. • Coordinate with airlines, hotels, car rental services, and other vendors to secure the best rates and services.
• Monitor travel schedules, manage last-minute changes, and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, travel regulations, and industry standards.
Customer Service & Client Relations:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing timely updates and addressing inquiries.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster repeat business.
• Handle escalations and troubleshoot issues to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Administrative & Analytical Duties:
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, contracts, and client interactions using CRM systems. • Prepare sales reports, operational performance metrics, and budget tracking documents.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, finance, and customer service) to align strategies and improve overall performance.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
• Proven experience in travel sales, travel operations, or a similar role within the travel industry.
• Strong understanding of travel industry trends, vendor management, and customer service best practices.
• Proficiency with travel booking systems (e.g., Sabre, Amadeus) and CRM software.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work extended hours or travel as required.
