Job Description

Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and customer-focused Travel Sales Executive to join our travel and tourism division. The candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling travel packages, holiday plans, corporate bookings, and customized itineraries to clients while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

This role involves building strong client relationships, understanding travel preferences, designing tailor-made packages, and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication, persuasive sales skills, and in-depth knowledge of travel products.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and approach potential clients for domestic and international travel services.

  • Promote company offerings, including holiday packages, hotel bookings, flight reservations, visa assistance, and travel insurance.

  • Actively generate leads, follow up on inquiries, and convert prospects into confirmed bookings.

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as set by management.

  • Develop and maintain corporate client accounts to secure bulk travel business.

2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Understand client needs and provide personalized travel solutions based on preferences and budget.

  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to drive repeat business.

  • Respond promptly to client inquiries, resolve issues, and handle complaints professionally.

  • Ensure clients receive seamless pre-travel, on-travel, and post-travel support.

3. Travel Consultation & Itinerary Planning

  • Provide expert advice on destinations, hotels, flights, activities, and travel regulations.

  • Design customized itineraries and offer suitable options to meet client requirements.

  • Stay updated on travel trends, visa rules, weather conditions, and seasonal offers.

  • Assist customers with travel documentation including passport, visa, and insurance requirements.

4. Market Research & Product Promotion

  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and customer preferences.

  • Keep track of competitors’ travel packages, pricing, and promotional strategies.

  • Suggest attractive deals, seasonal offers, and innovative sales campaigns to increase bookings.

  • Promote the company’s travel services through cold calling, email marketing, and social media platforms.

5. Coordination & Reporting

  • Coordinate with airlines, hotels, tour operators, and transport providers to arrange travel services.

  • Work closely with the operations and reservations team to ensure smooth execution of travel plans.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports and forecasts for management review.

  • Maintain an updated database of clients, leads, and sales pipelines in CRM systems.

Required Skills & Competencies

1. Technical & Professional Skills

  • Knowledge of travel products, booking platforms, and reservation systems.

  • Familiarity with domestic and international destinations, hotels, and attractions.

  • Understanding of visa processes, travel insurance, and foreign exchange basics.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience using CRM or travel booking software.

2. Sales & Negotiation Skills

  • Strong ability to convert leads into confirmed sales.

  • Excellent persuasion, upselling, and cross-selling capabilities.

  • Confidence in negotiating prices, closing deals, and handling objections.

3. Communication & Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English, Hindi, and/or regional languages.

  • Ability to explain travel options clearly and professionally to customers.

  • Positive, customer-friendly attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
