Job Description
Network Engineer – Roles and Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
Monitor network performance and ensure network availability and reliability.
Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution for connectivity problems.
Configure and manage LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and internet connections.
Perform network security implementation, including firewall management and access control.
Monitor bandwidth usage and optimize network performance.
Support network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements.
Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration records.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for issue resolution and hardware support.
Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for network infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
Configure and support DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
Provide technical support to end users and internal IT teams.
Perform regular health checks, patch updates, and preventive maintenance.
Support cloud and data center networking environments when required.
Participate in incident management and root cause analysis for network outages.
Maintain monitoring tools and generate network performance reports.
Ensure smooth operation of wireless networks and remote connectivity solutions.
