Job Description
Desktop Support Engineer – Roles and Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT devices.
Provide technical support for hardware, software, network, and operating system issues.
Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, email, VPN, and connectivity problems.
Install and upgrade operating systems, applications, and antivirus software.
Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions in Active Directory.
Configure and support Outlook, MS Office, Teams, and other business applications.
Handle IT tickets and provide timely resolution as per SLA.
Support onboarding and offboarding activities for employees.
Maintain inventory of IT assets such as laptops, desktops, and accessories.
Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements.
Perform regular system health checks, updates, and preventive maintenance.
Assist in network troubleshooting including LAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN support.
Ensure data security and compliance with company IT policies.
Document technical issues, resolutions, and support procedures.
Provide remote and onsite support to end users.
Support conference room devices, video conferencing, and meeting setups.
