UI UX Designer
Job Description
Role - UI UX Designer.
You will be expected to carry out internal as well as client deliverables and also create deliverables for pitches. Some projects may require you in a client facing role or to work out of client side offices. You should be willing to travel if required for a project.
Education required - A design school graduation with a specialisation in UI UX design
Experience required - Preferably at least one year of industry experience. Freshers with exceptional portfolios will be considered too.
CTC - 40,000- 50,000 INR (negotiable)
Workplace - Mumbai
Key Responsibilities
1. User Research & Analysis
-
Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.

Analyze data from existing systems, competitor products, and market trends to inform design decisions.
-
Create user personas, journey maps, and task flows to represent different user types and their interactions.
2. Information Architecture & Wireframing
-
Develop site maps, content hierarchies, and navigation structures that guide users effectively.
-
Design wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes that outline key screens, functions, and user flows.
-
Collaborate with UX researchers and product teams to ensure wireframes meet project objectives.
3. Prototyping & Interaction Design
-
Create high-fidelity, interactive prototypes to demonstrate the user experience, transitions, and animations.

Use design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision to bring UI concepts to life.
-
Incorporate micro-interactions and feedback elements to enhance usability.
4. Visual Design & Branding
-
Apply visual design principles such as color theory, typography, spacing, and alignment to build visually appealing interfaces.

Ensure design consistency by following brand guidelines and maintaining a cohesive visual language across products.

Design custom icons, illustrations, or assets when needed.
5. UI Development Collaboration
-
Work closely with front-end developers to ensure accurate implementation of UI designs.

Provide developers with design assets, style guides, and detailed specifications.

Participate in design reviews, QA sessions, and provide feedback during the development phase.
6. Usability Testing & Iteration
-
Conduct usability testing with real users or team members to validate design assumptions.
-
Analyze feedback and user behavior to identify areas for improvement.
-
Iterate on designs based on findings and stakeholder input.
7. Design System Management
-
Contribute to or maintain design systems, pattern libraries, and reusable UI components.

Ensure consistency in design elements across different products and platforms.
Key Skills and Competencies
1. UI/UX Design Tools

Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, Axure, or Balsamiq.

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for graphic asset creation.
2. Design Principles
-
Strong understanding of layout, grid systems, color theory, typography, and responsive design.

Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design best practices.
3. User-Centered Design
-
Deep empathy for users and the ability to design with the end-user in mind.

Experience conducting user research and incorporating insights into design decisions.
4. Collaboration and Communication

Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Ability to present design ideas clearly and receive constructive feedback.
5. Attention to Detail

Meticulous in ensuring pixel-perfect design execution and consistency.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
6. Basic Technical Understanding

Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus for better collaboration with developers.

Awareness of limitations and possibilities in front-end development.
