Job Description

Individual Consultant-SAFEGUARDS SPECIALIST

Location: Home based with travel to project sites, INDIA

Academic Qualification:

Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field, such as social science, environmental management, international development, conservation management, or related field of expertise.

Professional Experience: Minimum 10 years of demonstrable experience in social and environmental standards and impact assessment in an international development context, with experience working with multilateral/bilateral organizations;

Specific technical expertise in local communities’ engagement and application of FPIC;

Experience working with UNDP-GEF projects and familiarity with the safeguards standards of these agency(ies) an advantage.
