Job Description
Team Leader, Health Systems Strengthening
Location: New Delhi, India
EDUCATION:
Master’s Degree in Medicine, Public Health, Health Economics, Health Systems Strengthening, Public Administration, or related field;
EXPERIENCE:
A Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Public Health, Health Systems Strengthening, Health Economics, or closely related field at the national level.
Additional years of relevant professional experience is highly desirable.
Experience in managing large teams or multiple teams nationally or internationally would be desirable
Applied experience in the field of health innovations and the design and management of health and health support systems along with excellent knowledge of global health and development initiatives is desirable.
Working experience in international development organizations, bilateral development agencies and/or international NGOs abroad and/or in India desirable.
Experience in planning and development, policy analysis and health financing.
Experience of working with UNDP or another UN agency would be an asset.
Proven ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
Proven programme management experience with sound knowledge of all aspects of the project cycle (design, implementation, monitoring & evaluation). Experience in working with quality assurance tools and results based management models desirable.
Experience in resource mobilization and donor relations would be an asset.
Strong interpersonal and written and oral communication skills.
Excellent knowledge of office software packages and database packages; experience in handling of web based management systems; and skilled in using social media including the generation of content.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent command of written and spoken English and working language of duty station
