Job Description
Applications are invited from the motivated Indian citizens for one temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a SERB sponsored research project under Core Research Grant Scheme, file number CRG/2019/000326 at Department of Physics, University of Jammu, Jammu with the details mentioned below:
1. Position: Junior Research Fellow
2. Title of Project: Microscopic study of shape evolution and exotic nuclear phenomena in even-even nuclei in the mass region A~120
3. Duration: One year, extendable up to two years or project duration subject to satisfactory performance. The service of JRF is governed by the SERB terms and conditions.
4. Essential: M.Sc. degree in Physics with minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA. The candidates who have qualified UGC/CSIR-NET/valid GATE or any other equivalent examination scores will be preferred.
5. Desirable:
a) Good knowledge of Fortran programming, Nuclear Models and quantum field theory.
b) Scientific writing skills.
6. Emoluments:
(i) For NET/ GATE qualified: Rs. 31,000/- per month (hostel facility will be provided).
(ii) For non NET/ GATE: As per SERB norms.
Age Limit:
Not more than 28 Years. SC/ST/OBC/Women/PD candidates will get age relaxation as per SERB, Govt. of India norms.
