Research Associate/ JRF Jobs opportunity in University of Kashmir
Project Title : “Geological characterization of the Kashmir Valley with the objective of quantifying probabilistic hazard and risk in high risk areas of the valley using a logically integrated set of geoscientific investigations”.
Research Associate (RA)
No. of Post : 01
Qualification : Masters in Applied Geology/ Geology/ Earth Sciences/ Geophysics/ Physics/ Seismology with at least 55% marks. Ph. D. in Earthquake Geology/Seismology/Geoinformatics/ Geotectonic & Earthquake Engineering. At least ONE research paper published in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Desirable : Field/research experience on geoscientific study of earthquake hazards, vulnerability and risk assessment in Himalayan regions; working knowledge of computers, geological mapping/ geophysical borehole logging/ seismotectonics/ geotectonic and earthquake hazards/ RS&GIS modeling
Remuneration : Rs.36,000+HRA+M.A. (as applicable under university rule)
Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
No. of Posts : 04
Qualification : M.Sc./ M.Tech. in Applied Geology/ Geology/ Earth Sciences/ Geophysics/ Physics/ Seismology/ Geoinformatics/ Geotectonic & earthquake engineering/with at least 55% of marks. Candidate with M. Phil. in sedimentology/earthquake hazards/RS&GIS modeling in hazard vulnerability and risk assessment shall be preferred.
Desirable : Working knowledge of computers; NET/GATE qualified; Candidates with experience in geological mapping/ geophysical borehole logging/geospatial modeling/ geotechnical survey shall be given preference.
Remuneration : Rs. 25,000+HRA +MA (as applicable under university rule)
