ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Drilling or Mining or Mechanical or Civil or Electrical Engineering or Petroleum Technology from a recognized University and or equivalent
- Qualification equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in Drilling or Mining or Mechanical or Civil or Electrical Engineering or Petroleum Technology is the qualification of AMIE acquired before 31.05.2013 in the streams/trades of “Drilling or Mining or Mechanical or Civil or Electrical Engineering or Petroleum Technology”
Experience
- One year’s experience in repair and maintenance of Automobile machines and equipment: OR One year’s experience in operation and maintenance of drilling rigs.
NOTE: The Qualifications are relaxable at the
discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in
the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Age Limit
- The maximum age limit - 35 years
Pay Scale:
- Level- 08 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC

- Assistant Engineer is the in-charge of stores of the Division office and responsible for proper upkeep and maintenance of store and store accounts, planning and programming for requirement and procurement of store items, physical verification of stores periodically and disposal of unserviceable/obsolete materials.
PROBATION:
- The persons selected will be appointed on probation as per rule.
