Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Guiding students on UPSC exam preparation and career decisions
- Providing personalized mentorship and expert guidance
- Assessing individual strengths and weaknesses, tailoring mentorship approaches
- Motivating and building confidence in students
- Staying updated with the latest UPSC exam trends and changes
Key Responsibilities:
1. Academic Guidance:
-
Help aspirants understand the UPSC exam pattern, syllabus, and subject-wise preparation strategy for Prelims, Mains, and Interview stages.

Provide guidance on the selection of optional subjects based on the aspirant’s background, interest, and scoring trends.

Break down complex topics into manageable study plans and track their progress regularly.
-
Recommend the right study materials, NCERTs, standard books, test series, and value-addition resources.
2. Strategy & Planning:
-
Develop personalized study plans based on the aspirant’s current level of preparation, strengths, and weaknesses.
-
Suggest appropriate test-taking techniques, revision cycles, and mock exam strategies.

Track student performance in mock tests and help them analyze their scores to improve accuracy and time management.

Guide aspirants on current affairs preparation, including reading newspapers like The Hindu, Indian Express, and using resources like PIB, Yojana, and PRS India effectively.
3. Answer Writing Support:

Teach students the art of structured, crisp, and analytical answer writing.

Conduct regular answer writing sessions and provide detailed, constructive feedback.

Help students build answer-writing habits using tools like daily mains answer writing, weekly topic-based writing, and test series participation.

Train students in writing essays, GS papers, and optional paper answers according to UPSC expectations.
4. Interview Preparation:

Mentor students appearing for the UPSC Personality Test (Interview).

Conduct mock interviews, DAF (Detailed Application Form) analysis, and provide feedback on body language, tone, and content.

Prepare aspirants on handling situational questions, current issues, and personal background-related queries.
5. Motivation & Emotional Support:

Offer constant motivation and counseling to aspirants to help them manage stress, anxiety, and self-doubt.

Share success stories, practical tips, and your own experiences (if an ex-UPSC candidate or topper).

Be available for periodic check-ins and encourage a positive, growth-focused mindset.
