Job Description

1. Post Name: Three vacancies for the post of Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Armament) in Directorate General Quality Assurance, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence (OBC-01, EWS-01, UR-01 ) (PwBD-01)

2. Essential Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering from a recognized University. Two years’ practical experience in production or development or quality assurance in the field of Ammunition and Weapon used by the Armed Forces.

3. Desirable: Minimum six months certificate course in German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese language from a recognized institute. 

4. Duties: Preparation of specifications and vetting of documents pertaining to procurement of items/stores. Technical evaluations, codifications, testing, inspection of equipments, systems/sub system pertaining to the relevant discipline and defect reports. Creation of test facilities. Interaction with the Industry and preparation of capacity/capability reports. Technical documentation and Administration of test labs.

5. HQ: New Delhi but liable to serve anywhere in India or abroad. Any Other Condition: New Pension Scheme (NPS) will be applicable to all Government employees who will be appointed on or after 01 Jan 2004.

2. Essential Qualifications: Engineering Degree in Chemical Technology or M.Sc (Analytical Chemistry) or M.Sc (Organic Chemistry) from a recognized university. Two years’ practical experience in Production or Development or Quality Assurance in the field of Petroleum products / Paints & Chemical products.

3. Desirable: Minimum six months certificate course in German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese language from a recognized institute

4. Duties: Preparation of specifications and vetting of documents pertaining to procurement of items/stores. Technical evaluations, codifications, testing, inspection of equipments, systems/sub system pertaining to the relevant discipline and defect reports. Creation of test facilities. 2. Essential Qualifications: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Textile Engineering /M.Sc (Botany) / M.Sc (Chemistry) from a recognized University. Two years practical experience in Production or Development or Quality Assurance in the field of Footwear/ Textile & Clothing /Polymers / Timbers /Mechanical & Metallurgical equipment / items.

3. Desirable: Minimum six months certificate course in German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese language from a recognized institute.

4. Duties: Preparation of specifications and vetting of documents pertaining to procurement of items/stores. Technical evaluations, codifications, testing, inspection of equipments, systems/sub system pertaining to the relevant discipline and defect reports. Creation of test facilities. Interaction with the Industry and preparation of capacity/capability reports. Technical documentation and Administration of test labs.

Age Limit:
35 years.

Application Fees:
Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card. No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community. No "fee exemption" is available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.
