Job Overview:
A US IT Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified IT professionals for clients based in the United States. This role requires a deep understanding of the US job market, IT terminologies, visa classifications, and hiring procedures. US IT Recruiters act as a bridge between the client and potential candidates, ensuring that job requirements are matched with the right talent in a timely and professional manner.
The role demands strong interpersonal skills, sourcing capabilities, and an ability to manage the entire recruitment life cycle—from job requisition to offer negotiation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. End-to-End Recruitment:

Handle the full cycle of recruitment including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

Understand and analyze job descriptions provided by the clients.

Identify suitable candidates through various channels such as job boards (Dice, Monster, CareerBuilder), social media (LinkedIn), and internal databases.
2. Sourcing and Screening:

Proactively source IT professionals based on client requirements using Boolean searches, database searches, and social networking.

Screen candidates based on technical skills, work experience, and communication abilities.

Conduct initial interviews to evaluate fitment and interest in the job opportunity.
3. Client Coordination:

Submit qualified candidates to clients within the stipulated timeframe.

Coordinate with clients for interviews, feedback, and further steps.

Maintain strong relationships with account managers and delivery leads to ensure smooth communication.
4. Candidate Engagement:

Build strong relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process.

Keep candidates informed about the status of their applications and upcoming interviews.

Negotiate salary expectations, benefits, and work arrangements in accordance with client budget and policies.
5. Knowledge of Visa and Immigration Processes:

Must be familiar with US work visas including H1B, GC, TN, EAD, OPT, CPT, and US Citizens.

Understand immigration rules and hiring eligibility based on visa status.

Ensure candidates are compliant with legal and client-specific requirements.
6. Database and ATS Management:

Maintain and update candidate records in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

Ensure data accuracy and documentation for future reference and compliance.

Utilize internal database for re-marketing and engaging with previous candidates.
7. Market Intelligence:

Stay updated on industry trends, salary benchmarks, and hiring practices in the US.

Conduct research to identify emerging technologies and in-demand skills.

Share insights with the team to refine sourcing strategies and improve client satisfaction.
8. Reporting and Metrics:

Prepare daily/weekly reports on candidate submissions, interviews scheduled, and closures.

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as time-to-fill, candidate response rate, and quality of hire.

Identify bottlenecks in the process and suggest improvements to increase efficiency.
