Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operation Theatre Assistance
-
Prepare the OT before surgeries, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterilized.

Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nurses during procedures.

Arrange surgical instruments, drapes, and other essentials before operations.
2. Equipment & Sterilization
-
Ensure proper functioning of OT machines and surgical instruments.
-
Conduct sterilization of surgical tools and maintain infection control protocols.
-
Handle disposal of biomedical waste as per hospital regulations.
3. Patient Care & Safety
-
Assist in shifting patients to and from the OT.
-
Monitor patients’ vitals before and after surgery as per guidelines.
-
Maintain hygiene and safety standards in the operation theatre.
4. Documentation & Coordination
-
Maintain records of surgical procedures and sterilization logs.
-
Coordinate with nurses, surgeons, and anesthetists for OT scheduling.
-
Report any malfunctioning equipment or emergency situations to supervisors.
