Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking qualified and passionate Teacher to conduct evening coaching classes for students from Grade 9 to Grade 12 in the subjects of Social Science, English, and Mathematics. The role involves classroom teaching, academic mentoring, doubt resolution, and performance tracking for high school students preparing for school exams and board examinations (CBSE, ICSE, or State Board).
This position is ideal for teachers who have strong subject command, enjoy working with students in small batches, and want to make a meaningful impact in an academic coaching environment. Preference will be given to candidates who are available in the evening and are passionate about teaching beyond traditional classroom hours.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Subject Instruction & Classroom Teaching

Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in Social Science, English, or Mathematics based on the assigned grade level and syllabus.

Explain core concepts using boardwork, visual aids, real-life examples, and structured notes.

Simplify complex topics and ensure students understand foundational principles.

Cover all chapters as per academic schedule (CBSE/State/ICSE Board curriculum).
2. Lesson Planning & Academic Delivery

Create lesson plans and study material in advance for each class.

Align teaching methods with academic goals, student learning levels, and board patterns.

Ensure syllabus completion on time while maintaining concept clarity and depth.

Design and administer classroom activities, quizzes, and revision tests.
3. Doubt Clearing & Academic Support

Conduct doubt-clearing sessions individually or in small groups.

Identify weak students and provide additional academic support.

Encourage interactive discussions, encourage students to ask questions, and address academic concerns with patience.

Provide homework or assignments to reinforce learning.
4. Test Preparation & Evaluation

Prepare unit tests, mock exams, and practice papers for internal assessment.

Evaluate answer sheets and provide constructive feedback.

Analyze student performance and share progress reports with the institute or parents (if applicable).

Suggest corrective actions for improvement in test scores.
5. Classroom Management & Discipline
-
Maintain a positive and focused learning environment in the classroom.

Ensure students are attentive, punctual, and respectful during sessions.

Take daily attendance and maintain student records accurately.

Report discipline issues or irregularities to the Academic Coordinator.
6. Parent Communication (if required)

Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss academic progress and areas for improvement.

Maintain regular communication with students’ guardians for academic updates (as per institute policy).
7. Administrative & Institutional Duties
-
Submit lesson plans, attendance sheets, and evaluation data as per coaching center requirements.

Contribute to academic planning, test scheduling, and curriculum discussions.

Attend faculty meetings, orientation programs, and internal training sessions.
