Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pickup and Delivery Operations:

Collect packages, goods, or merchandise from warehouses, stores, or designated pickup locations.

Deliver products to homes, offices, shops, or other specified addresses.

Ensure correct items are delivered to the correct recipient by verifying delivery addresses, contact details, and order numbers.
2. Route Planning and Navigation:

Plan delivery routes for maximum efficiency based on traffic, weather, and delivery timeframes.

Use GPS navigation systems or route apps to find the best and fastest routes.

Follow delivery schedules and adhere to timeframes set by the company.
3. Vehicle Operation and Maintenance:

Operate the delivery van safely, following all traffic laws and road safety regulations.

Ensure the van is clean, fueled, and in good working condition before every shift.

Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs to the supervisor or fleet manager.
4. Customer Interaction:

Greet customers courteously at the time of delivery.

Obtain signatures or confirmation for delivered items using digital or paper documentation.

Handle basic customer inquiries or complaints politely and report them to the concerned department if necessary.
5. Handling of Goods:

Load and unload items into the delivery van with care to prevent damage.

Ensure fragile or perishable items are handled according to company guidelines.

Keep delivery items safe, secure, and intact during transportation.
6. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate delivery records, including addresses, customer details, delivery times, and notes on undelivered items.

Submit daily reports of completed deliveries and any issues encountered during the route.

Manage cash or digital payments (if applicable) and provide receipts to customers.
7. Adherence to Safety and Company Policies:

Follow safety protocols while driving and loading/unloading goods.

Wear company uniform and maintain a presentable appearance.

Follow company policies regarding punctuality, behavior, and delivery procedures.
