Van Delivery Executive
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Pickup and Loading:

Collect goods from warehouses, stores, or company hubs as per schedule.

Carefully load and arrange packages inside the van to avoid damage during transit.
-
Cross-check items against delivery notes or invoices before starting the trip.
2. Delivery Operations:
-
Deliver packages to customers, retailers, or vendors at assigned locations across the city or region.
-
Ensure each delivery is completed within the committed time frame (on-time delivery).
-
Get signatures, OTPs, or digital confirmations for deliveries using a handheld device or mobile app.

Handle COD (Cash on Delivery) transactions when applicable and submit cash accurately to the accounts team.
3. Customer Interaction:
-
Greet customers politely and communicate professionally.

Provide basic support or information about the delivery, if required.

Escalate any delivery issues (wrong address, customer not available, etc.) to the operations team promptly.
4. Van Maintenance and Safety:
-
Conduct daily checks on the van (fuel, tire pressure, brakes, lights, etc.) before starting the route.

Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle.
-
Report any breakdowns, damage, or servicing needs to the supervisor immediately.

Drive safely, obey all traffic rules, and avoid rash driving under any circumstances.
5. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain daily logs of deliveries made, route coverage, and distance traveled.

Update delivery statuses in the mobile app or manual sheets as required.

Submit any paperwork such as invoices, receipts, or return forms at the end of the day.
6. Returns and Exchange Handling:

Pick up returns from customers or retail partners when scheduled.

Check and verify returned goods and handle them with care.

Follow return protocols for damaged or rejected goods.
