Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Distribution:

Drive and operate a van to deliver products directly to retail outlets, shops, or customer locations as per the scheduled route.

Promote and sell company products (such as snacks, beverages, or packaged goods) to existing and new customers, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded.

Take orders from customers based on their requirements, stock levels, and product needs.

Ensure that products are delivered to customers in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining a high level of service.

Upsell and cross-sell additional products or promotions to increase sales revenue and meet targets.
2. Customer Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential customers to foster long-term business partnerships.

Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products to fulfill those needs.

Provide excellent customer service by being responsive, professional, and friendly to customers.

Address customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns, ensuring that issues are resolved quickly and satisfactorily.

Ensure that customers are satisfied with their purchases and the overall service provided.
3. Product Stocking and Inventory Management:

Maintain stock levels in the van, ensuring that products are well-organized and available for distribution.

Ensure that products are properly stocked and displayed in customers' stores or retail locations.

Monitor stock usage and take orders for products that are running low, reporting stock shortages or any product-related issues to management.

Keep accurate records of product deliveries and customer orders, ensuring that the inventory is well-documented.

Conduct regular stock checks to ensure that product quantities are consistent with recorded amounts.
4. Route Management and Planning:

Plan and manage an efficient route to visit customers in a timely and organized manner.

Ensure on-time delivery of products and minimize delays by efficiently managing time and distance between customer locations.

Maintain a schedule of customer visits and communicate any changes or delays to management.

Report on sales performance and achievements in a regular manner, tracking key metrics such as volume sold, revenue generated, and customer feedback.
5. Sales Reporting and Documentation:

Keep accurate records of all transactions, including product orders, payments received, and delivery details.

Submit daily sales reports to the Sales Manager, detailing customer interactions, sales, and inventory updates.

Monitor customer accounts to track payment statuses and ensure prompt collection of outstanding amounts.

Report any feedback or product issues from customers to the company for quality or product improvement purposes.

Update the company’s CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system with new customer data, sales information, and follow-up tasks.
6. Promotion and Marketing:

Promote special offers, discounts, and new products to existing and potential customers.

Engage customers by highlighting product features and benefits, ensuring that customers are aware of all available options and deals.

Use promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, or samples to drive sales and enhance brand visibility.

Participate in local events, promotions, or campaigns organized by the company to increase brand awareness and customer engagement.
7. Compliance and Safety:

Adhere to all safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies while operating the van.

Ensure that products are stored in the vehicle according to safety and handling guidelines, maintaining product integrity during transportation.

Ensure the maintenance of the van, ensuring that it is always in good working condition, clean, and presentable.

Ensure that all deliveries are made following company procedures and in compliance with quality standards.
8. Cash Handling and Payment Collection:

Collect payments from customers for products delivered, ensuring accurate cash handling and issuing receipts.

Ensure that cash or payments are securely stored and that transactions are properly recorded.

Follow up with customers on outstanding payments, escalating issues to management when necessary.
