Scientist C (Medical) /Project Technician/Field Worker  Job Position in Vector Control Research Centre (VCRC)

Project entitled “A community based study, to compare the safety, efficacy and acceptability of a triple drug regimen (Ivermectin, Diethylcarbamazine and Albendazole) with a twodrug regimen (Diethylcarbamazine and Albendazole) for lymphatic filariasis elimination programme”.

Post No.1: Scientist C (Medical) / 2 (UR)

Essential Qualification : Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB) with 3 years experience in R&D in Health Research or teaching Nature of Duties Field co-ordination, supervision and support to teams engaged in enrolment of participants, screening for filarial infection, mass drug administration (MDA), adverse event management and monitoring, community preparation and community acceptability surveys.

Age Limit: 40 years

Salary :Rs.61,883

Post No.2: Scientist B (Medical) / 16 (UR 8; OBC 4; SC 3; ST 1)

Essential Qualification: MBBS degree recognized by MCI Nature of Duties Health assessment, screening for filarial infection, administration of antifilarial drug, evaluation and management of adverse events following treatment at the community level.

Age Limit Not exceeding : 35 years

Post No.4: Project Technician-III

Technician No. of Posts: 08 (UR 4, OBC 3, ST 1)

Essential Qualification :12th pass in Science subjects and 2 years diploma (DMLT) or 12th in Science subjects with one year DMLT and one year experience in Govt. recognized organization. * B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years of experience. Nature of Duties To assist in screening/testing individuals for filarial infection in drug administration, monitoring adverse events following MDA Age Limit Not exceeding 30 years Consolidated Salary Rs.17,040 /-p.m

Field Worker/ 01 (Reserved for ST)

Essential Qualification :12th pass in Science subjects and 2 years diploma in sanitation/public health or one year certificate course in public health/sanitation with one year experience in Govt. recognized organization. * B.A/B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years experience Nature of Duties To assist the field team in screening/testing for filarial infection, MDA and adverse events. Age Limit Not exceeding 30 years Consolidated Salary Rs.17,040 p.m


Post No.6: Data Entry Operator (DEO) Grade-B /01 (Reserved for ST)

Essential Qualification: 12th pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from recognized board, or DOEACC ‘A’ level from a recognized institute and 2 years experience in EDP work in Govt., Autonomous, PSU, or Recognized institution or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Application/IT/Computer Science from a recognized institution/University. Candidates with typewriting in lower grade (English) certificate will be preferred. Nature of Duties Field data/collection, entry using e-formats and e-tables and computerization of field and laboratory data.
