Veterinarian recruitment in Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram on contract basis
Essential Qualifications: B.V.Sc with 8 years of experience or M.V.Sc (Veterinary Pathology / Microbiology / Virology / Medicine or equivalent qualifications) with 5 years’ experience in handling experimental animals including breeding and maintenance of transgenic animals.
The candidate should have a proven track record of working in an animal research facility, preferably linked to an academic institution.

Job Responsibilities: The selected candidate will have to function as the Institutional Animal House In-charge. Establishment of infrastructural setup, procuring equipment and getting approvals for the facility and experimental protocols and training of the personnel.Making specifications in sufficient detail to procure the right kind of latest equipment for the animal facility and assist in evaluating tenders on technical aspects.Work with several mandatory committees constituted to carry out animal work in accordance with the Institutional and CPCSEA guidelines.Maintenance and breeding of the animals (stock as well as experiments) for all investigations as per the CPCSEA guidelines of Govt.of India.
Remuneration: Rs. 50,000/- per month (consolidated)
Age: Not more than 60 Years (Relaxation can be considered for candidates with exceptional records)
