Proficiency in Editing Software
-
Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, etc.
Sense of Timing & Pacing

Knowing how long to hold a shot or cut a scene to enhance storytelling or emotion.
Sound Editing Skills
-
Syncing audio, adding sound effects, balancing levels, and music selection
Color Grading
-
Enhancing visuals through color correction and grading to set the tone/mood.
Motion Graphics & VFX (Optional)
-
Useful for intros, titles, transitions, or more advanced visual work.
Key Responsibilities
-
Video Editing and Post-Production
Edit raw video footage into finished products suitable for social media, websites, advertisements, interviews, documentaries, educational materials, or corporate presentations. Ensure smooth transitions, audio synchronization, and correct pacing. -
Content Assembly and Organization
Organize and manage video files, audio tracks, graphics, and related assets. Assemble video sequences from source material according to scripts, briefs, or creative direction. -
Audio Editing and Mixing
Adjust, enhance, and synchronize sound elements such as voiceovers, background music, and sound effects. Eliminate background noise, ensure volume consistency, and maintain audio clarity throughout the video. -
Graphics and Visual Effects
Add titles, lower thirds, logos, transitions, and motion graphics using tools like After Effects or other motion design software. Integrate visual effects where appropriate to enhance storytelling or branding. -
Color Correction and Grading
Apply color correction and grading to ensure visual consistency, improve image quality, and evoke the desired mood or tone of the video content. -
Versioning and Formatting
Create multiple versions of videos optimized for various platforms (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn) and formats (e.g., vertical, square, widescreen). Render and export final outputs in the required specifications. -
Collaboration with Creative Teams
Work closely with content creators, directors, marketers, and graphic designers to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality outputs that meet creative and technical expectations. -
Project Management and Deadlines
Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adhering to production timelines. Communicate regularly on progress and flag any production issues early. -
Feedback Incorporation
Respond to creative feedback and revise videos accordingly. Maintain flexibility and openness to changes and new directions. -
Asset and Archive Management
Maintain a well-organized archive of footage, templates, and final videos. Ensure proper naming conventions and file storage systems are used for future reference and reuse.
