Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing and assembling recorded raw material into a polished final product that's engaging, professional, and aligned with our brand identity or client expectations.
This role requires proficiency in video editing software, a strong creative eye, and the ability to tell compelling stories through visual content. Whether you're working on short-form social media clips, corporate videos, YouTube content, ads, or long-format films, you should be able to take creative direction and bring ideas to life through video.
Key Responsibilities
1. Video Editing

Edit raw footage into high-quality, engaging videos using software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.

Add sound, music, graphics, animations, subtitles, voiceovers, and other effects as required.

Ensure smooth transitions, clean cuts, and appropriate pacing in line with the content type.

Maintain consistency in branding, color grading, and editing style across all videos.
2. Pre-Production Collaboration

Work closely with the content team, scriptwriters, directors, and clients to understand the video concept and desired outcome.

Offer creative input during brainstorming sessions to enhance storytelling.

Review scripts or shot lists and suggest improvements to aid smoother post-production.
3. Post-Production Management

Organize and manage media assets, maintaining proper folder structures, naming conventions, and backups.

Perform color correction, audio leveling, and motion graphics integration as required.

Export videos in various formats and sizes optimized for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and websites.
4. Versioning & Revisions

Implement feedback from team members or clients in a timely and professional manner.

Create multiple versions of videos tailored for different platforms (e.g., vertical for Reels, landscape for YouTube).

Maintain version control and track changes across editing timelines.
5. Deadlines & Quality

Ensure timely delivery of all projects without compromising quality.

Review final videos to catch any errors before release (audio sync, cuts, typos in subtitles, etc.).

Stay organized and meet deadlines even when working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software.

Experience with motion graphics, animation, and text overlays.

Knowledge of audio editing tools (Audacity, Adobe Audition) is a plus.

Familiarity with color grading and LUTs for cinematic quality.

Understanding of different video formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios for various platforms.
Creative & Visual Sense

Strong storytelling ability through visuals and sound.

Keen eye for detail, rhythm, pacing, and transitions.

Ability to edit videos in different tones – educational, promotional, corporate, cinematic, etc.
