Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our content or media production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for storytelling, a good sense of timing, and technical expertise in editing videos for various platforms including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and websites.
The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling recorded footage, applying basic and advanced post-production techniques, and transforming raw clips into polished, engaging content that aligns with the brand or client vision. If you're passionate about visual storytelling, trends in digital content, and have a strong command of editing software, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Video Editing & Post-Production

Edit raw footage into clear, engaging videos for marketing, social media, training, product demos, interviews, and events.

Cut and trim video segments to match scripts, voiceovers, or storyboards.

Add visual elements such as titles, captions, transitions, intros/outros, and animations.

Synchronize audio and video, correct colors, and enhance footage using effects when necessary.
2. Creative Direction & Storytelling

Collaborate with the content, marketing, or creative team to understand the video’s purpose and audience.

Suggest improvements in the video script or visuals to improve clarity and engagement.

Implement storytelling techniques that suit the tone, message, and platform for each video.
3. Brand Consistency

Ensure that all video content reflects brand guidelines in terms of colors, fonts, visual tone, and messaging.

Maintain a consistent style across videos in a series or campaign.

Edit videos for different aspect ratios (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, etc.) as per platform requirements (YouTube, Instagram Reels, Facebook, etc.).
4. Technical and File Management

Organize and manage video assets, raw footage, and final files systematically.

Export and compress videos in appropriate formats and resolutions for delivery or publishing.

Backup video files securely and maintain proper version control.
5. Audio Integration

Integrate music tracks, voiceovers, sound effects, or background scores.

Clean up background noise and enhance sound quality.

Sync dialogues or subtitles where required.
6. Collaboration & Feedback

Work with creative directors, designers, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on project goals.

Revise edits based on feedback from stakeholders or clients within agreed timelines.

Suggest new creative formats and techniques based on audience response and performance.
Required Skills and Tools
Technical Skills

Proficient in video editing software such as:

Adobe Premiere Pro

Adobe After Effects (for motion graphics)

Adobe Audition (for sound editing)

Knowledge of video codecs, formats, aspect ratios, frame rates, and resolutions.
