Essential Qualifications:
For Visiting Lecturer in Engg. : 1. 1st class Bachelor Degree in Engg. / Technology in concerned branch of Engg. from a recognized University / Institute. 2. Knowledge of Hindi / Sanskrit upto Matric.
For Visiting Lecturer in Architectural Assistantship : 1. 1st class Bachelor Degree in Architecture. from a recognized University/Institute. 2. Knowledge of Hindi / Sanskrit upto Matric.
For Visiting Lecturer in App. Sciences.( Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) : 1. 1 st class Master Degree from a recognized University / Institute in the concerned subject. 2. Knowledge of Hindi / Sanskrit upto Matric.
For Visiting W/I : 1. Three years Diploma with 60% marks from a recognized Institute or ITI with CTI with 60% marks in the concerned trade. 2. Knowledge of Hindi / Sanskrit upto Matric.
Salary : Rs. 400/- per hour (maximum Rs. 25000/- per month)

It was started by the Defence Department to improving the quality of Surgical Instruments, which were supplied to the Defence Department. In the post war phase, the function of this organization changed to bring about development in the field of manufacture of Surgical Instruments and Appliances. With the partition of India, the function were further enhanced to that of a training Institution with a view to feed the industry with specialized personnel at supervisory and artisan level.
