ADVERTISEMENT NO.: IIT MANDI/2019/SHSS_01
Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, India seeks application from native speakers of German for the position of Visiting Instructor (Sprachassistent/in) in German
As the minimum qualification for the post, the applicant should have graduated (Bachelors) in German Literature or Teaching of German as a Foreign Language (DaF) and should preferably have enough experience in teaching German as a foreign language in the nonnative cultural context. The medium of instruction at the Institute is English and hence the applicant is expected to have necessary communication skills in English. The applicant should have good knowledge of the culture and history of German speaking countries and should be quite familiar with the current developments in these countries. It is also expected of the assistant that he/she possesses enough inter-cultural skills and can bring the native cultural knowledge and skills into the classroom to promote familiarity with and interest in culture, customs, manners and etiquette in the German speaking regions and also contribute to activities of the German Club on the campus.

Pay and Allowances: Consolidated salary between Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 40,000 p/m based on qualification and experience
