Job Description
The Qualifications
- Ideally you have at least 3 to 5 years of experience. But, it’s your portfolio that we are interested in and not in “number of years.” We put creativity on a higher pedestal than any other ability or skill.
- Enterprise Software Visual Design experience is highly desired, but we love B2B/C products such as Looker, Dropbox, Google Analytics, and Mint.com a lot. Our products are a lot more data-heavy though.
- Experience in solving complex data visualization problems is a must. In fact, we would like you to show case your best solutions in that area. If you have never worked in analytics, but can show other examples that meet the bar, we would be interested in you.
- This is a pure design job. You are expected to iterate on solving problems completely and create meaningful user interfaces and make complex data clear. You will have the opportunity to dedicatedly focus on solving a myriad variety of visual problems to solve.
- We love design graduates, but a degree in engineering or sciences in addition to a design qualification is even more desired. However, we are not stuck on degrees and credentials. You just need a stellar portfolio and an attitude to work with others.
- A solid knowledge of visual design, information design, data visualization, information graphics, systems thinking paradigms and solutions is necessary so that you are not bogged down by the need to do extensive research.
- You will mainly work with UX Architects and Product Managers whose input is usually a set of wireframes. Your job is to interpret their input, follow a design system (we are still working on), and create beautiful, accurate, and implementable UI solutions.
- We believe in the power of whiteboard (or paper) as a design tool. If you could solve problems in design thinking sessions on whiteboard, you are an ideal person we are looking for.

Our products are used by the world’s top media companies such as HULU, Disney, HBO, TNT, NBC, CNN, Sling, Sky, etc. and we want to delight them with a new redesign journey we have embarked on. We need sophisticated visual design to deliver meaningful experiences to our users, worldwide.
You will report to Head of Product Design (works from our Foster City office). The location of this full-time position is at our Bangalore office where we are building a world-class product design group. The job is part of our Chief Product Officer’s mandate to shape the future of Conviva.
