Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate VLSI Engineer Trainer to join our training and development team. The candidate will be responsible for teaching, mentoring, and guiding students or professionals in various VLSI design, verification, and development concepts.
The ideal trainer should have strong expertise in VLSI tools, semiconductor technologies, and chip design methodologies, along with the ability to deliver clear, engaging, and practical sessions. This role involves preparing course materials, conducting hands-on training, evaluating student performance, and keeping up with the latest trends in the VLSI industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training Delivery

Conduct interactive training sessions on VLSI design, verification, and implementation.

Deliver lectures on topics like RTL design, functional verification, synthesis, timing analysis, and physical design.

Train students on EDA tools like Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics, and Xilinx.

Guide learners through hands-on lab sessions, simulations, and real-time projects.

Use practical demonstrations to simplify complex VLSI concepts.
2. Curriculum Development

Design and update training modules, course content, and learning materials based on industry requirements.

Incorporate the latest trends in semiconductor technology, chip design, and verification methodologies.

Develop case studies, assignments, and projects to enhance learning outcomes.

Ensure the curriculum aligns with current industry standards and practices.
3. Mentoring & Student Guidance

Provide one-on-one mentorship to students for doubt clearing and project assistance.

Guide learners in academic projects, industrial internships, and final-year designs.

Offer career counseling and help students prepare for interviews, certifications, and industry placements.

Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and innovation.
4. Tool Training & Lab Management

Provide training on industry-standard VLSI design and verification tools.

Set up and maintain EDA software, FPGA boards, and simulation environments.

Monitor lab usage, troubleshoot tool issues, and coordinate with IT support for maintenance.

Create lab exercises and demonstrations for better hands-on exposure.
5. Evaluation & Reporting

Design and conduct quizzes, assignments, practical tests, and project evaluations.

Provide constructive feedback to students to improve their skills.

Track learning progress and prepare reports for management and students.

Ensure continuous improvement in teaching methodology based on student feedback.
6. Industry Collaboration

Stay updated with the latest advancements in VLSI technologies.

Collaborate with semiconductor companies and industry experts to enhance course quality.

Arrange guest lectures, workshops, and industrial visits for practical exposure.

Assist in organizing seminars and webinars on emerging VLSI trends.
Required Skills & Competencies
1. Technical Skills

Expertise in VLSI design methodologies, digital and analog circuits, and semiconductor devices.

Hands-on experience in EDA tools like:

Synopsys (Design Compiler, PrimeTime, VCS)

Cadence (Virtuoso, Encounter, Genus)

Mentor Graphics (ModelSim, QuestaSim)

Xilinx / Vivado for FPGA designs

Strong knowledge of HDLs like Verilog, SystemVerilog, and VHDL.

Familiarity with ASIC design flow, FPGA programming, and SoC verification.
2. Programming & Scripting
