Roles & Responsibilities: (10+ years of experience is preferred)

• Provide local and remote diagnostics and technical issue resolution 
  
• Provide outstanding customer service by interacting directly with clients on client issues 
  
• Take ownership of incidents and identify problem trends to improve the overall dependability of the environment and meet appropriate Service Level Agreements
  
• Monitor relevant systems for availability and performance and respond to alerts to meet business objectives and service levels
  
• Write scripts and procedures for daily operations
  
• Maintain and support production environments consisting of VMWare and VDI environment.
  
• Administration, Management and troubleshooting of VMware View, VDI environments and Microsoft environments
  
• Managing of both backend servers and VDI template creations, profile management, etc.
  
• Regular administrative activities like virtual desktop setup, VDI access requests, access issues, application deployment, patching activities etc.
  
• Proactively identify and perform hardware and software upgrades
  
• Evaluate new products and recommends updates and upgrades
  
• Provide technical guidance to other VMware administrators
  
• Monitor and update all incidents and requests, including calls assigned to external suppliers/vendors
  

• Excellent communications able to work directly with a team environment
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, phone etiquette, keyboarding skills, data entry skills, people skills, customer focused and service oriented, attentive to details, act with professionalism, able to multitask.
  
• Document Incidents and Work Orders with detailed breakfix steps and resolution in ticket tracking system
  
• Monitor and update all incidents and requests, including calls assigned to external suppliers/vendors
  
• Reassign or escalate incidents and requests to appropriate support level, third parties or other teams where appropriate level of discussion of issues with colleagues will be conducted
  
•  May have to support UK and US time zone with skewed office hours from Chennai
