Emoluments : Rs. 35,000/- P.M. with no other allowances.
Essential Qualifications :- i. Higher Secondary with Diploma in Vocational Training/ D.Ed., / B.Ed./PG Diploma in Special Education/Equivalent course recognized by RCI. ii. 2 years relevant experience. iii. Registration with RCI.
Desirable: i. Graduation with diploma in Vocational Training.
Lecturer (Consultant) D.Ed. – Spl.-Ed. (MD) for 6months
Emoluments : Rs. 35,000/- P.M. with no other allowances.
Essential Qualifications :- i. Post Graduate Degree. ii. M.Ed. Special Education. Or B.Ed. Special Education with 2 years of Experience. Or D.Ed. SE in MD with 2 years of experience. iii. Registration with RCI. Desirable:- i. M.Ed. / B.Ed. / D.Ed. in Special Education in other than primary area of Specialization.
Special Educator (Consultant) for 6 months
Emoluments : Rs. 25,000/- P.M. with no other allowances.
Essential Qualifications :- i. Graduation with Diploma / B.Ed. / PG Diploma in Spl. Education or equivalent. ii. Minimum 02 years of experience. iii. Registration with RCI.
Desirable:- i. M.Ed. in Special Education.

Application Fee: Demand Draft of Rs 200/- (Non Refundable) drawn in favour of the Director, NIVH
Payable at Dehradun must accompany with the application without which the application
will not be considered. The SC/ST and Ex-Serviceman candidates are required to submit
DD of Rs 100/- only. Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted from above fee.

The National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities owes its origin to St. Dunstan’s Hostel for the War Blinded established in 1943, which offered a basic set of rehabilitation services to the soldiers and sailors blinded in the World War II. In 1950, the Government of India took over the St. Dunstan’s Hostel and entrusted the Ministry of Education with the responsibility of developing comprehensive services for the rehabilitation of blind persons.
