Job Summary:
A Waiter in a hotel setting is responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to guests, ensuring a pleasant and memorable dining experience. The waiter acts as the face of the hotel’s food and beverage department, contributing to guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:

Guest Service and Interaction:

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.

Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions regarding ingredients, preparation, and wine pairings.

Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the system promptly.

Make recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary restrictions.

Address guest concerns or complaints courteously and escalate issues to supervisors when necessary.

Food and Beverage Service:

Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently in accordance with hotel standards.

Ensure proper table settings and clear tables after guests finish dining.

Refill drinks and attend to guest needs throughout their dining experience.

Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.

Handle cash transactions or process payments through billing systems accurately.

Maintaining Cleanliness and Presentation:

Keep dining areas tidy, organized, and visually appealing.

Set up and reset tables with clean linens, silverware, glassware, and condiments.

Follow hygiene and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Teamwork and Coordination:

Collaborate with fellow waitstaff, kitchen, and housekeeping teams to provide seamless service.

Assist in training new waiters and share best practices.

Promote special menu items, beverages, and hotel promotions to increase sales.
