Job Description
Key Responsibilities
A. Kitchen Staff (Back of House – BOH)
1. Cleaning & Hygiene Maintenance
-
Perform daily cleaning of the BOH areas, including kitchen floors, walls, counters, equipment, and sinks.

Follow a deep cleaning schedule weekly/monthly for ovens, refrigerators, hoods, grills, fryers, etc.
-
Clean and sanitize food preparation areas before, during, and after operations.
-
Ensure live kitchen stations are kept organized, clutter-free, and sanitized at all times.

Dispose of garbage regularly and responsibly, following food waste and recycling procedures.
2. Food Safety Compliance (FSSAI Guidelines)
-
Follow personal hygiene protocols including wearing clean uniforms, hairnets, gloves, and safety shoes.

Comply with food storage practices, including proper labeling, FIFO (First In First Out), and temperature control.

Monitor expiry dates and maintain food handling logs for raw and cooked items.
-
Avoid cross-contamination between raw and cooked foods by using designated chopping boards, knives, and containers.
-
Immediately report any unsafe practices, damaged equipment, or expired ingredients to the kitchen supervisor.
3. Support Food Preparation
-
Assist chefs in basic mise en place, cutting vegetables, marination, assembling orders, etc.

Restock cooking stations with supplies and monitor inventory levels.
-
Prepare ingredients for hot and cold beverages, sauces, garnishes, or salad stations.
-
Refill condiments, cleaning supplies, and prep materials as needed.
B. Waiter / Service Staff (Front of House – FOH)
1. Guest Service
-
Greet customers politely and escort them to their tables.
-
Present menus, answer basic queries regarding the menu, and take accurate food and beverage orders.
-
Serve food and beverages efficiently with attention to presentation, quality, and customer satisfaction.
-
Clear and reset tables after guests leave and prepare them for the next guests.
2. Table Setup & Cleanliness
-
Set up tables as per restaurant SOPs including linen, cutlery, crockery, napkins, and condiments.
-
Check glassware and silverware for cleanliness before service.
-
Maintain table areas and service stations clean and stocked throughout the shift.
3. Beverage Preparation (If Assigned)
-
Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages including coffee, tea, mocktails, and juices, according to standardized recipes.
-
If trained, serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, verifying legal drinking age where required.
-
Maintain cleanliness of the beverage prep counter, blender, shaker, and other bar tools.
