Job Description
Job Overview:
We are looking for a responsible, punctual, and hardworking Delivery Associate to join our growing delivery operations team. The delivery associate will be responsible for delivering packages, products, or food items to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
Whether you are delivering for an e-commerce company, grocery app, pharmacy, or restaurant, this role requires excellent customer service skills, knowledge of local routes, and the ability to handle packages with care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Order Pickup & Delivery:

Collect parcels or products from the distribution center, warehouse, store, or restaurant.

Deliver items to customers at their doorstep within the assigned delivery time window.

Handle food, documents, electronics, or other products with care and professionalism.
2. Route & Navigation Management:
-
Use GPS or mobile apps to follow the most efficient delivery route.

Familiarize yourself with local areas, traffic patterns, and alternate routes.

Maintain timely deliveries by avoiding delays and optimizing travel time.
3. Customer Interaction:
-
Communicate respectfully and courteously with customers during delivery.

Obtain customer signatures or verification via mobile app as proof of delivery.

Provide updates in case of delays, incorrect addresses, or customer queries.
4. Package Handling:

Handle items gently and ensure packages are not damaged during loading/unloading.

Scan barcodes using mobile devices or apps for accurate tracking.

Return undelivered packages to the warehouse with reasons documented.
5. Record Keeping & Reporting:

Maintain daily delivery logs including number of deliveries, delivery time, and cash collected (if applicable).

Report issues such as traffic delays, lost items, customer complaints, or vehicle breakdowns promptly to supervisors.
Required Qualifications:

Minimum 10th Pass or 12th Pass (Preferred)

Ability to read basic English or local language (Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, etc.)

Basic smartphone usage knowledge
Key Skills:

Time Management: Complete deliveries efficiently and within time slots

Customer Service: Polite and professional behavior with customers

Navigation: Knowledge of city roads and ability to use Google Maps or delivery apps

Accountability: Responsible for collecting payments (if required) and completing deliveries accurately

Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry light to moderate packages
Requirements:

Own Two-Wheeler (Bike/Scooter) – with valid driving license and RC

Smartphone with Android/iOS to use delivery app

Valid Driving License (LMV or Two-Wheeler)

PAN Card, Aadhaar Card – for identity and verification

Bank Account Details – for salary and incentive transfers
