Job Description

  • We are looking for Wardens who will be looking after Bal Grah and Balika Brah. Priority is Husband-Wife for this post.
Job Summary:
  • Taking care of Children in Bal Grah and Balika Grah in their allotted blocks.
  • Mediating between student disputes about noise, unacceptable behavior etc., to the Organization, thus ensuring good order and behavior is maintained in the Aashram.
  • Available for “on call - duty” whenever required, which provides emergency cover in the evenings and weekends.
  • Assisting the Wardens and site staff with the admission of new students and ashram new members.
  • Establishing and maintaining appropriate social contact with Children in Bal Grah and Balika Grah.
  • Providing relevant information about the students whenever it is required.
  • Offering appropriate first aid support when needed.
  • Taking part in implementation fire drills, crime prevention and health & safety awareness initiatives.
  • Responding to on-site emergencies during out of hours (burst pipes, broken windows, burglaries, locked out of rooms etc.)
  • Liaison with Welfare Service and Accommodation Office over student issues or concerns.
  • Maintaining accurate records and writing reports to help to identify trends that may require action.
  • Ability to listen to and establish a rapport with Children in Bal Grah and Balika Grah.
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • To coordinate with the management for framing policies, rules and regulations.
  • Creation of all facilities in the in Bal Grah and Balika Grah.
  • To supervise for the smooth running of the hostels, messes and other facilities within the Bal Grah and Balika Grah.
  • To plan for upgradation and maintenance of Facilities in the Bal Grah and Balika Grah.
  • To ensure security of the Children by coordinating with the security officer and staff
  • To perform any other responsibility assigned by the management and Director
Work Requirements
  • Maintenance of discipline in Bal Grah and Balika Grah
  • To supervise Bal Grah and Balika Grah, messes and other facilities
  • Liaison with Welfare Service and Accommodation Office
  • Available for “on call - duty”
  • Responding to on-site emergencies
  • Excellent service skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful and flexible.
  • Able to quickly absorb new information regarding tools and processes.
  • Able to work well with all levels of internal Students, management and staff
  • Positive approach and attitude toward work
  • Fluency in Hindi is must
  • Previous experience from a reputed Institute or Organization.

Presently, Sewadham is a home for 500+ members from the age group of 0-100+ years.

Sewadham services include safe shelter, protection, healthy nutritious food, safe drinking water, quality education, medical support, health care services, physiotherapy, naturopathy, a healthy environment, livelihood opportunities, sanitation, vocational and self-reliance training to make them self-dependent and live life with self-respect and dignity in the main stream of the society.
