This position involves receiving, storing, and dispatching goods efficiently and accurately, ensuring inventory is well-organized and accessible. The Warehouse Assistant helps maintain a clean and safe work environment and supports warehouse operations such as packing, labeling, and inventory control.
The ideal candidate is physically fit, reliable, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to teamwork and operational efficiency.
- Receiving and Processing Shipments: Unloading, unpacking, inspecting, and sorting incoming goods, ensuring they match the purchase order and are in good condition.
- Storing and Organizing Inventory: Placing goods in designated locations within the warehouse, optimizing space and ensuring easy access.
- Order Fulfillment: Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment, accurately and efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Keeping track of stock levels, performing cycle counts, and updating inventory records.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Reporting: Reporting discrepancies, damage, or other issues to supervisors.
- Compliance: Following company policies, safety regulations, and best practices.
