Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Storing Goods:
-
Assist with unloading deliveries from trucks or containers.

Inspect goods upon receipt to ensure they are not damaged and match the purchase order.

Help store items in the appropriate locations within the warehouse, following organizational systems for easy retrieval.

Label and tag items for inventory tracking and identification purposes.
-

Inventory Management:
-
Support in maintaining accurate inventory records by counting and inspecting goods regularly.
-
Assist in conducting stocktaking or inventory audits to ensure correct stock levels.
-
Help move items between different warehouse locations, ensuring proper stock rotation to prevent spoilage or damage (e.g., FIFO - First In, First Out).

Keep track of inventory levels and report discrepancies or low stock levels to supervisors.

Loading and Unloading:

Assist with loading and unloading goods from delivery trucks and containers using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand (depending on the size and weight of the goods).

Ensure that items are loaded securely to prevent damage during transport.

Organize the warehouse for efficient loading and unloading, ensuring smooth operations and quick access to goods.

Order Fulfillment and Packing:

Assist in preparing customer orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling goods.
-
Ensure orders are packed properly and safely for delivery.
-
Help verify the accuracy of orders before they are shipped out to customers.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

Maintain a clean and organized warehouse by regularly cleaning floors, shelves, and equipment.

Ensure that aisles and pathways are clear of obstacles to maintain a safe working environment.

Report any hazards, damaged equipment, or potential safety issues to the warehouse supervisor.

Equipment Handling:

Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (with proper training and certification, if required).

Assist in the maintenance of warehouse equipment and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.

Safety and Compliance:

Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure the safe handling of products and equipment.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.

Participate in safety training programs and adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries in the warehouse.

Supporting Warehouse Operations:

Assist other warehouse staff in their daily duties, including team members in inventory control, order processing, or logistics.

Provide general assistance with warehouse-related tasks as assigned by the warehouse supervisor or manager.
